The Month of Chocolate is a series of chocolate themed events during the month of February and is popular in Bloomington and Monroe County. LIFEDesigns partners with other businesses to host unique chocolate themed events that all support local non-profits.
Bloomington has been celebrating the Month of Chocolate since 1997, each year and each event unique. Formerly known as Week of Chocolate, this festival has changed quite a bit over the years. Starting as a single event in 1997 and eventually growing to a week-long series of events in 2008 when other non-profits were invited to join LIFEDesigns and host their own chocolate themed fundraising events, and again expanding to multiple weeks in 2016 when for profit businesses were invited to host events benefiting a nonprofit. As we look to the future, we expect to see further growth as more excitement builds for this community wide festival & we’re inviting our community to participate!

Become a 2022 Chocolate Vendor!
You can participate in the Art of Chocolate 2022 by joining us as one of our Chocolate Vendors and let our attendees taste your delicious chocolate treats during the event. We want our vendors to be creative and have fun doing this! It’s an opportunity to try a new dessert out & receive feedback about it, or to bring one of your popular desserts and promote your restaurant. All businesses are welcome to sell your items at the event and hand out any marketing for for your business. If you are interested in becoming a Chocolate Vendor at the Art of Chocolate 2022, please fill out the form below with your information and send it to Kristen King, Director of Community Relations, at kking@lifedesignsinc.org

Thanks for making the Art of Chocolate 2021 a success!
We want to give a HUGE “Thank You” to everyone who supported the Month of Chocolate in 2021, especially our sponsors, auction item donors, event hosts, event attendees, volunteers, and employees who dedicated their time to help with this special event. We would not be here without your continuous support and commitment to LIFEDesigns. We are thrilled to report that a net profit of $20,895 was raised for individuals with disabilities!
Despite the challenges and restrictions, we all faced this year, we are beyond thankful and thrilled our community and Month of Chocolate partners were able to adapt to this new virtual world and help us continue the tradition of this special celebration. The funds raised during the Month of Chocolate help us expand our programs and provide the necessary services our clients need to live as independently as they can. We hope to develop more events and raise increased funds for our clients to provide them with opportunities for growth and independence that Medicaid services simply don’t fund.
Thank you for supporting LIFEDesigns and the Month of Chocolate!
