Match Madness

About Match Madness:

The Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County manages our endowment fund and is offering a $1.50 match for every $1.00 we raise! But we only have 25 hours to raise $10,000–if we can reach the goal, we get an additional $15,000!

When: The giving clock goes from 6pm on Tues. March 10 until 7pm on Wed. March 11.

Why: Endowment gifts make a lasting impact, earning dividends for years to come!

How: Gifts can be made online and at the live event. Be sure to designate LIFEDesigns.

All are welcome to attend the live event in Assembly Hall on Wednesday, March 11, from 4-7pm. There will be food, drinks, games, and a huge celebration for all the funds raised!

How You Can Help:

1. Create your own challenge and donation level–get creative and have FUN!
2. Film your challenge and post it on social media.
3. Tag LIFEDesigns’ Facebook page and at least 5 of your friends. Competition is encouraged: which of your friends is the best?! Bragging rights are a big deal.
4. Donate between 6pm on Tuesday, March 10th and 7pm on Wednesday, March 11th.
5. Remind your friends to follow through with the donation!

Challenge Examples:

Get creative! You can shoot basketballs, throw crumpled paper into recycling or trash bins, shoot pool, do a trick shot, or even take a shot! Just have fun.

• Challenge someone else: whoever sinks the most baskets in 30 seconds donates $30. Whoever loses donates $40. (This is a great one to do with customers or co-workers!)
• If I make 5 baskets in a row, I’ll donate $25 to LIFEDesigns’ Match Madness campaign. If I can’t make 5 baskets, I’ll donate $50!
• I’ll donate $5 for every 3-pointer I make and $10 for every 3-pointer I miss.
• Trick shot: spin around 3 times fast before shooting. $20 says I make it; $25 if I miss.
